Rahr-West Art Museum

The Rahr-West Art Museum is celebrating its 75th Anniversary throughout 2025. Named One of “America’s 15 Best Small-Town Art Museums” by Travel+Leisure Magazine in 2023, Manitowoc’s Rahr-West Art Museum is a small city-run museum that boasts art normally found in large metropolitan areas from the likes of Georgia O’Keeffe, Andy Warhol and Picasso. The Rahr-West is crucially mission-driven to also spotlight local artwork alongside its impressive permanent collection.

The museum includes the Historic Vilas-Rahr Mansion, a late Nineteenth Century Queen Anne-style Victorian mansion, as well as contemporary art galleries. The museum is also the site of the 1962 crash landing of the Sputnik IV spacecraft – an incredible phenomenon that can be found nowhere else. The City-owned and operated museum is free to the public, fully accessible and open year-round.

Rahr-West and Visit Manitowoc are pleased to offer the following exclusive discounts for Wisconsin Art Destination visitors (from August-October 2025, while supplies last).

To redeem, pick up coupon passport at Rahr-West or Visit Manitowoc office while supplies last.
